is there a way to get rid of or replace that Fn horrendous AT&T Boot animation? Is like free advertising for AT&T and they don't pay me squat...

Short answer no. Later on down the road it might become possible. Once the L1520 gets unlocked a custom ROM could do it for you but that's still a ways away.

It might be sooner than you thing ...i saw a post on r/windowsphone where a hacker has completely blown open the OS ...he was able to install a cydia like store and get 3 columns on a 920
