Micorosft & Live Contacts...?

I am new to Windows Phone, and in my contacts, I have both a group called Microsoft and Live contacts. I only want Live contacts, and when I try and delete anything, it asks if I want them deleted from Microsoft or Live. Also, when in my Live account online, it says it cant delete any contacts from other services.... I only have the live account, and all my contacts are showing duplicated in both of these services it says I have... odd problem thats more annoying than anything else. Any help is much appreciated!

go to ... in people then settings then filter my contact list

i did, but it whenever i edit a contact, it still asks if i want to edit it in Microsoft or Live
