Lumia 1520 Charging Issue

I am having an issue exactly like this post here: Brand-New Lumia 1520 charging issues - Nokia Support Discussions

Is anyone else having issues? I have thought about doing a reset to see if this helps, but I hate having to set things back up again.

I suspect it's a software issue as a reboot takes care of it, but maybe not.

Any thoughts?

I've had the exact same issue that is described with my 2 week old Lumia 1520.

I agree that it sounds like a software issue as once I restart it then it begins to charge. Hopefully the upgrade to 8.1 will fix it?

I have the exact same issue recently, my guess is the recent firmware upgrade caused this. I didn't have this problem before

This same thing happened to me for the first time a few nights ago. I plugged in the phone before going to bed and waited a few seconds to make sure the phone recognized that it was plugged in. For some reason this phone takes a bit longer than my 920 did. Anyway, it wouldn't detect that it was plugged in until I performed a soft reset. I thought it was a bit weird and it hasn't happened again since that night. I keep checking to see if it happens again, but so far nothing since that one time.
