Every mobile deserves a first time charge for at least 4 hrs...
Thats not mandatory but if you do it,,,your battery life will be good :winktongue::winktongue::winktongue::winktongue::winktongue:

The first charge occurs in the factory. The battery comes partially charged and you don't need to charge for an specific time (pages 10 and 11 of the manual).

Why? I bought my battery from mugen power, specialists in batteries. In their manual they say, charge it completely the first 3 times and leave it on charge ( so best overnight). I mean why should they write that...and they JUST build batteries...

Because the advice they offer there is just them stating the same thing they've always stated and that advice was solid advice for earlier generations of battery technology.

With LiPo batteries that advice won't hurt anything, but it's no longer necessary so it's obsolete data.

Then again I only used to work in the top tiers of support for Xbox, Windows Phone and Zune...so what would I know about these devices right?

When you throw snark my way, you'll get it thrown back at you harder.

Creating a separate post (in case the earlier ones get deleted later on) to explain a bit.

The process that I'm referring to as obsolete is referred to in the industry as priming. These days any reputable manufacturer already completes the priming process before shipping devices with batteries in them, or even just the batteries themselves.

The priming cycle is no longer required to be completed by the consumer, especially on LiPo and LiOn batteries. Even the older NiCd and NiMH battery types are normally shipped with the priming process already completed these days, but not always.

My 1520 charges for 3 hours on original charger and i get just over 3 days of good use from it and its only been my first charge cycle what i am doing if fully charging then completely discharging till it hits 0 and repeat the process 5 times its all good.
Is there any chance that you can repeat that with the inclusion of punctuation marks please? I don't really understand what you're saying there.

my phone survives now a day and half
but 6 hours charge? maybe i need to change my charge..

You're using the OEM charger from Nokia for the 1520?. I ask because with LiPo batteries it is important to use the supplied charger.

It enables the rapid charge for the phone. My phone charges at a rate of about 1% per minute. I'm usually done charging in 2 hours or less, and that's when I've fully drained the battery to test recharge stuff. :)

Then it's not your first charge cycle. It would be your fifth or sixth depending upon how one interprets your grammar.

You're doing the absolute WORST thing for lithium batteries. That draining to 0 does not help the battery health at all. Li-Po cells are best when kept between 40-80% of charge capacity.
