WP will be fine. They are dumping things that done make sense and building a solid foundation.

I must say I'm glad to see the X series dropped.
Microsoft has hardly optimized the Phablet (which infact uses WP OS) and already they were considering Android and 3D touch devices, in how many years would they have optimized those?
Talk of divided focus.

3D touch is still a novelty, and the current understanding is hardware issues (likely cost) were still too high to make the McLaren phone an acceptable reality (although I'm still disappointed!).

I'm excited about the idea of a 1525. I'm jumping ship from Android to WP, and the 1520 6" screen covers 2 form factors (phone / small tablet), while my SP3 will cover the other 2 form factors (large tablet / laptop). Hooray for device consolidation!

Of course, Microsoft needs to start selling these unlocked on their store so we consumers can still take advantage of wireless charging (screw you AT&T!). It's true, once you wirelessly charge, you can't go back lol
