Lumia 1520 Cyan CV GBIE no 2g?

I got the update for Cyan on 1520 CV GBIE and one thing I noticed was that in network I only have the option to choose 3g or 4g. What happened to 2g. I ask this because I on 8.0 and when i had the dev preview of 8.1 and I could choose 2g but now with cyan update I can't. Any one else have the same issue, and it?s from UK? Also i contacted my network wich is Vodafone Portugal and they told me that is nothing to do with the network but firmware bug.

From the network selection do a scan, you'll see the phone still pick up 2G signals, its just you can't limit you phone to 2G only.

Mine under cellular+sim>sim settings i still have 2g,3g,4g options running cyan philippine variant

It's nothing to worry yourself about, I have the exact same on my CV GBIE / 000-UK version.
If I happen to go out of a 3g area my signal does resort to 2g, though as ttxzee stated you can't limit your phone to 2G only.

I have recently bought a 1520 (a HK variant with GBIE firmware) and on inserting a giffgaff sim I can only access 3g/4g.

I'm hoping that this is going to be changed in denim or debating whether to change the firmware version?

Just to update, I plugged the phone into Recovery Tool and it offered an update from 02061.00066.14253.40002 to 02061.00066.14253.40004 which resolved the issue, re-installed apps from store rather than from onedrive backup and updated dev preview and all still ok
