For some reason, I'm considering the 1520, even with the new Notes and iPhones coming out soon. One concern I have is that I currently run with my phone in my shorts pocket. I like carrying my phone for music and fitness tracking.

Does anyone jog with their 1520? Figured out a solution to carrying a huge phone while running?

    Thanks!

I have no idea how that would be possible. I cannot fathom running with my 1520 lol

I'm pretty sure you can find a large enough arm band for your 1520 on Amazon or eBay. Just don't get the ones that are for the Note or just generically say that they'll fit 6" phones. They don't fit. I've purchased the different ones from eBay....none fit my 1520.

You will need an arm sportsband that accepts larger devices. The problem is that none are made specifically for the 1520. For wired headphones, your headphone port will either be blocked or the top is open (water ingress or possible fall out).

Consequently, would also recommend a sweatproof wireless Bluetooth headset/earbuds with a microphone.

Isn't just carrying the 1520 a workout in and of itself? I get arm cramps just holding the thing up when I'm watching something on YouTube.

I run with my 1520 all of the time. I run track and cross country and I use it to play music. Just make sure you have a case on it.

get a small waist pouch, put 1520 inside and strap around your waist. But be warned, the pouch will be bouncing up and down due to the 1520 weight.

What about wearing a cycling jersey? They have large rear pockets which are deep enough for the phone and easily accessible.

    Someone needs a Misfit bracelet.

It could be done. You'll need a pocket with a zipper on it. The phone is quite thin, so it is possible. I have seen the arm bands with other phablets at the gym. Unless you are tiny, then it might look odd.

Half the people at the gym are on their phone all the time anyways!

I personally just lay my 1520 on the ground and use it as my yoga/sit up mat :)

I ordered the 1520 in yellow yesterday. Looking forward to receiving it. I don't do yoga, but maybe I'll take it up once I get the phone ;-)

I'm using an armband for running with BT earphones, before that i was using an armband too with my 925 and i don't feel a great diference using it with an armband, even considering the huge screen of the 1520.

There are also those cases that you can strap around your arm. I would go with some sort of a case solution.

From Amazon: SumacLife Workouts Sports Armband Case for Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 , Note 3 , LG G Flex , Nokia Lumia 1520

I can't post the link. I don't have the band or phone yet, so I don't know how well it'll work.

Hey Matt. Any more info on the armband that you ordered from Amazon? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Still trying to figure out which one to get.

It worked well. Here is my review: "Just got back from my first run using this armband. My Nokia Lumia 1520 fit perfectly (without a case). My only complaint so far was that the face of the armband was bending and touching the side buttons of the phone, which caused the music to skip a lot. I fixed the issue by putting the phone in upside down. This may be an issue with the sensitivity of the phone buttons."

I use an amphipod (fanny pack). The amphipod AirFlow "Endurance" is large enough to fit 1520 with case. [I have my 1520 in a belkin wallet case]. There are two pockets on the inside and it fits in both of them, but the outer one is easier to get the phone in (both take some work). I turned it inside out and carefully removed the divider (by removing the threading that divides it into two sections) and now it fits alot easier. Even with wired headphones, the sides have enough extra space that you can fit the phone with headphones.

The Amphipod "AirFlow Micro-Strech Belt" (it looks tiny!) also fits nokia 1520, however it won't fit [atleast for me] in a case. I normally use the endurance when I exercise. Both are super flat/small and fit under a tshirt and you can't even see they are there (assuming you dont tuck in you tshirt).

I bought both at REI but i'm sure you can get them elsewhere.
