Completely agree. This phone has so many creature comforts that other flagships dont have, like ClearBlack, assertive display, Dolby 5.1 recording ect......Nokia/Microsoft really know how to add value by making the tech they use top notch.

I only wish it had an IR blaster

In terms of specs, absolutely. I wonder what Microsoft's sequel to the 1520 would be like.

A 1520 with updated specs and aluminum + polycarbonate body like 830/ 930 is my dream 1530.

Yeah, they set the bar pretty high with the 1520. I love mine! The successor better not be missing one thing.. it better have Glance, an SD card slot, and all the things that make the 1520 what it is, and more! I'd really love for my future "1530" to have an updated version of the 1020's camera tech. ( a 41MP sensor or better!)

Yeah I love the 1520 as well. They had incorporated so much into the phone. I just wish the put all the same features into a smaller sized phone to make it at least fit easier in the pocket.

I hope it is the best. Mine will be delivered Wednesday to replace my 925. I got to admit I will miss the 925, it is a great little phone.

The battery of this device is amazing! But yes all around the best device for sure. What I would love to see the successor being little smaller, 5,5"-5.8" would be better size for a big device. IMO at least.

Don't think we have to worry or dream on that thought, MicroSoft is only making low end and mid entry devices now.

The 1520 is a amazing phone. I think once we get Denim it's going to feel like an even better phone. I think it's the best phone on the market right now. The core apps could use some tweaking. I was playing around with a friends iphone 6 plus the other day and I did like the way you just slide left to right for different camera modes such as panorama, time lapse etc. Definitely a clean usable interface. with everything on one screen that just slides. That's the kind of stuff Microsoft needs to improve.

I like everything about the phone, but it is sorely missing apps I need/want. I have to rely on my work Android phone to fill in the app gap. Sad.

I think the 1520 will ne even more amazing with next big update. Split screen is coming and I hope more things that benefit from the big screen. Also would be great if the new touch orientated office would also make an appearance. Excel in WP is so poor it's not even funny.

I really wish that the 1520 were available in Canada. It's a year old now, Microsoft should at least sell it unlocked at the Microsoft store. :(

The price through 3rd party sellers online continues to drop, but the 1520 is a device that I'd really like to see in person before making a purchase decision.

Guess that I'll just have to keep playing the waiting game until 2015 and Windows 10, hoping that it brings an awesome flagship to Canada.

Buy it online cheap as possible, if you dont like it Im sure youcan sell it.

Its little big, but I had the 930 at the same time. Went back and forth with them, I wanted to like the 930 more because the size was more traditional, but I just couldnt. The 1520 is amazing.

Split screen - unconfirmed rumor from an unreliable source. Don't bet on it.

As for the 1520, absolutely great device. Looking forward to denim and beyond.

Do you recall the details, or the source? I hadn't heard that and I'd be interested in reading more.

Yeah I think so but considering how whiny and hard to satisfy the community is, I doubt that they would be grateful for that. It would rather be like "OMG, it's so alike Android" "OMG, MS is a copycat" "OMG, they don't follow the design principles anymore" blah blah blah.

To the OP: Yes. Until the next 15xx comes out, the 1520 still rules.
