Lumia 1520 discontinued / out of production worldwide?

I just bought another lumia 1520 on UK's ebay after I dropped my previous one and smashed screen. I bought used for ?240 like new condition, without charger, but with original box. It works Okay, but I'm not sure about LCD display and screen quality. I thing it's not too good as my previous one, specially on sun light. Glass edges on my previous 1520 was more round, while on this one are almost flat. Battery, storage and camera looks the same. Most strange is date of Build Creation which is 16/01/2015 in China. Didn't they stop to product this model last year? Now I'm not sure it's genuine one. Imei is the same as on the box. Manufacturer name is RM-937_apac_malaysia_941.
Is possible it can by a fake lumia 1520?

Post the pictures. Maybe it was smashed so owner replaceed screen and digitizer.

The phone is a real 1520, yes. It was however refurbished. That screen is one of the lower quality types but it should serve fine. I have no way of knowing whether that has a Synaptics so I cannot guarantee that.
