Hi, for saving photos to and downloads would a 64GB micro SD card at 60MB a second transfer rate work or would a faster rate be desired?

I think that will work!... I believe class 6 is recommended, which is rated at a minimum sustained data rate of 6MB/S in a fragmented state. The 60MB you are stating is probably the max rate in a perfect day scenario with no fragmentation.

Indeed class 6 for pictures but with DEMIN comming (4KVideo) class 10 would be better. I guess the card you have is a class 10 UHS1 and will do a perfect job.

Try get a class 10 UHS card. It is future proof, and will limit the lag on your phone
