In my family (which includes my parents, brother and our immediate household) we are definitely a Lumia Family (7 out of 13 are using 1520, so not too bad).

  • Wife: Yellow 1520, Red 2520 (tablet)
  • Mom: Red 1520
  • Oldest Son: Black 1520
  • Myself: Black 1520 (32gb)
  • Father: Black 1520
  • Brother: Red 1520
  • Middle Son: White 635
  • Uncle: Black 920
  • Aunt: Red 920
  • Oldest Nephew: 920
  • Youngest Nephew: iPhone 5 (I guess we can't win 'em all... :winktongue: )
  • Cousin: Green 930
  • Sister: White 1520

Needless to say, with the scarcity of the 1520's going around, I had to get my hands on a few spares, just in case.

However, it's nice to be a Lumia family and it's even nicer that I did not have to talk ANYONE into switching to Lumia. They did so on their own and no one has any regrets!!

Anyone else have a Lumia family?

Wow is all I can say. That's a lot of Lumia phones!

We have 4 in our family, with a couple with friends but nothing like that.

The spouse and I are sporting white and yellow Lumia 1520. The 6 years old uses the trusty and durable Lumia 520. Thank goodness for some pink Mofi back cover, as she really wanted a pink mobile! The grandparents were gifted Lumia 625 and 635 and love them too! This 2015 the 4 year old will also have her own Lumia before she turns 5. So yup, you're not alone, LOL!

Well my family used to be a Lumia family....
Me:Lumia 820
Dad:Lumia 1020
Mum:Lumia 925
Sister:Lumia 920
Brother:Lumia 920

All the phones are black except for the 925, its the dark grey colour.

But now Dad gave up his 1020 for an iPhone 6. So now I use his 1020.

Was very close to convincing my father to get a 928...went to Verizon all ready to pull the trigger. But, as he's an old school guy and not at all tech savvy, he treats those doofuses in the red Verizon shirts as all knowing and after 20 minutes of a couple of them bad mouthing Windows phone and the 928, he walked out with a Droid Ultra.

I really thought the tile setup would be good for him. He's never going to have a lot of apps so he would've had a nice clean screen with just the basic stuff. So now he has an Android and has no clue what he's doing half the time.

Our phones have sort of changed a bit as have our carriers lol
Me: Att Lumia 1520(yellow)

Mother: She has had quite a few windows phones. Had the Lumia 1020...Broke it. Has a Lumia 635 and broke that within a month......She still uses it. I'll probably be sure to get her a new phone when her birthday in March rolls around even though she breaks whatever phone she gets. I'd love to get her a Lumia 535.

Sister: Att Lumia 1520(She has my old red but her own yellow...She likes to 'switch' depending on the day)

My Younger Brother: Lumia 930

My Little Brother(12): Lumia 830

Baby Brother(10): Lumia 635

Step Brother #1(16): Lumia 920...He is obsessed with that phone. He has it in red.

Step Brother #2(13): Former iPhone user....Then went to M8 and Hated it and joined the rest of the best and is now rocking a Lumia 1520(Hate him as I wanted the Green)

Cousin: M8 windows...Sigh

Boyfriend: Lumia Icon

I feel like I am missing someone

Me: Black Lumia 1520
Wife: JUST got an LG G3 - She likes Windows when she uses my phone but has been on Android for a long time and is afraid to switch. For now... *evil laugh*
Kids: None

Everyone else in my family uses Android or iOS. I'll likely get my daughters Lumias when they are old enough (they're five and two now). They love their Stream 7 tablets we got them for Christmas and I'm hoping it'll be easier to transition to a Windows Phone when the time comes.

Former Lumia family.
Dad 920
Mom 920 (broke) to 1520 then got sick of lack of shopping apps, switched to iPhone 6.
Me 900-920-1520 (still use for some games), stitched to iPhone 6+ (best decision I've made in a while).
Gf 920-1020 (too many problems to list) along with lack of apps needed for work and social, switched to iPhone 6, she's very happy.
Daughter - 900 to iPhone 5s.

The fanboys will think I'm bashing, but I'm just stating how's it went for us. IPhone is clearly better for our needs. Glad they've worked out for others though!
Lol i don't think you are bashing but I do wonder what possesed you to want to share that as it appears to be negative than positive which is what the thread was for lol.

There's a switching platform thread that is better suited for this :p

We have been a WP family for a few years now. All had 822 to start and left Verizon for Tmo 3 months ago.
Here is the line up of phones;
Me: 1520
Wife: 1020, she is a professional photographer.
Oldest daughter: 925, light weight and " fits in my pocket"
Middle child: iPhone 5c, she just switched to give apple a go.
Youngest daughter: 521, she is 11 and it's indestructible and $50.
Farther in Law: 521, he is 70 and not tech savvy. Her has visited the MS store and started to take classes.
Getting ready to put my mother on our plan and in a WP.

Best Buddy: Icon - Black
Kids (Cats): I bought them old flip phones........

Interestingly, when I took my parents (late 70's) to the local Verizon store to get them their first smart phones, the Verizon honk actually encouraged Windows Phones as "easier to learn and navigate"...... both my folks love their Icons and have become quite proficient with them.

Nope just me in the family, heck I don't have a Lumia anymore. But I should be able to get a Lumia phone soon now that I found a better job. I'm the teksavvy guy in the family so basically to them, if it works then don't change it.
