In July-Aug last year, I dropped my L1520, screen shattered but everything continued to work.
Few months later (around Oct), the touch died. Thats when I left it on the desk.
The poor thing has been laying there ever since.
Around the time it broke (July), I asked a guy who's working in a repair shop how much would the repair cost,
he said 250? (almost $300) for an original factory new one. That was unacceptable, so I just stayed low.
Now, many months later, I started asking again, and I got a price of ~165?.
It's much better but still pretty high. However I do have the money, and I miss my phone a lot, so I'll probably go for it.
What I want to know is, would you pay that price? Is it worth it?
And, if you by any chance know, how much would the same repair cost at your local repair shop, or wherever do you repair your phones.
The phone was under warranty, but it doesn't cover damage caused by misuse.
