So lets have a poll of some sort. As soon as you unplug your phone at 100% charge, what is the average and immediate stand by time. I'll go first. Mine says: 1 day and 3 hours.

I don't really care about the "time" said by the apps. I use Insider. I tested it. it was saying "1 day and 5 hours remaining" but I really used more than 2 days. Actually it was saying "1 day and 5 hours remaining" for about 10 hours and not a minute changed during this time !

I can get about 2 days with normal use and a whole day in the most heavy usage. I don't mean full-time gaming of heavy usage.
WiFi on, BT off, Location on, sending message, recording sound, Cellular off, making calls, and casual gaming about one hour and I get one day battery life on my L1520.

I usually get about two days from my Lumia 1520, even with fairly heavy usage. With more casual usage I can get almost three days. Bt off, nfc off, location on, wifi off.

I really appreciate the replies about how much you tend to get, but am really curious as to what it says as soon as you unplug the charger at 100% so let's carry on with that format. Cheers!

LOL... I may have an answer for you tomorrow. There wasn't a proper one today when I first saw this thread. I was over 10 hours in when I first peeked right after you posted the OP...

Here you go, tboy2000, hot off the charger.

    <edit> Lumia 1520.3, official 8.1 Update + Lumia Denim

I took the screen shot within one minute of removing from charger...

On the graph, the couple of upward spikes are times I plugged into USB for file transfer. The downward trend includes my usual activity (I'm a light, but steady user). I know I had some photography and post shot editing in there, a couple phone calls, NextGen news reader, Alarms, and about 2 hours of Music over Bluetooth headset with simultaneous GPS activity tracking...

Just for consistency and a fair comparison, lets leave answers as only x days and x hours as soon as you unplug charger at 100%. No need for additional information. Cheers.

Reminds me of my 9-month old L1020 shortly before it "died". It had around "16 hours and xx minutes" in the Battery Saver app based on my usage.

Let's just say it (low battery capacity) is a sign of aging, but longevity varies greatly with aging. I was just unlucky with my L1020, I guess.

Ok I did a hard reset twice and chose not to restore (fresh start) and at 100% charge with no additional apps installed my standby says 1 day and 14 hours. Is this normal for my 1520?

I think you need a calibration. Let a full charge and then full discharge and full charge again. I think the battery gauge needs to be refreshed.

So I tried an experiment. I have a another phone so I used it mainly as my primary phone and hardly used my 1520. So much so, I got it to last over 2 days on one charge. At 17% I charged it back to 100%. My thinking was that the stand by time it tells you at 100% is based on previous usage. So if my usage was very low (as it was in this experiment) then on the next charge my stand by time should be very long. So what was the result at 100% after 2 day standby?........
    ............12 hours. Go figure. :(
