Arg! Screen cracked despite case

My phone fell exactly flat on the floor and the screen has cracked!
I have a HUGE case that did absolutely nothing to protect it.. Why bother with the case if the screen still cracks when dropped? It will fit so much better in my pocket without it..

Time to start shopping on ebay..

There's no such thing as 100% protection when you land on the glass front of your phone. Cases are meant to protect against edge drops which are usually the cause of screens cracking.

Glass is fragile. It breaks easily in the right circumstances. That's life.

Look into a tempered glass screen protector for your next phone, might well have saved your screen.

After a failed attempt at a new screen (not by me, a local shop), it looks like I'm going to have to buy a new 1520.. I really like the green one, but is there any reason to get it over a regular black/red/yellow 1520? Do colors denote 'newer' versions? Mine is Red now..

The green one is an AT&T exclusive and thus comes without wireless charging and only 16GB storage. Try to look for the other variants since they come with wireless charging and 32GB storage.
