Semi-permanent screen discolouration

My Lumia 1520 has a permanent discolouration in the lower right hand corner. There's a rusty purple blotch about the size of a pinky finger nail clipping about a cm above and half cm to the left of the menu ellipsis.

This blotch is ONLY VISIBLE ON BLACK BACKGROUNDS. When the screen is white or any other colour, the blotch doesn't appear.

I can see two lights at the edge of the screen (one above and one below the discolouration.)

This is strange because all the overheating issues are localized around the top left hand corner of the screen to the left of the camera lens. I assume the processor is in that region.

Anybody else having similar issues?

If you can then send it in for repairs.

Nothing inside(in that location) that can get hot enough to distort the admittedly thin LCD. So it's either back luck or an external heat source. Cori is correct that the resolution is to replace the LCD.

If your out of warranty and can live with, it I'd say live with it.
