    Has anyone experienced the official Twitter app stop working completely? This has happen about 4 times within a month and the only resolution I came up with is to uninstall and reinstall. I tried soft reset but that doesn't work. The app icon is there but it is faded out and "unclickable". Please let me know if anyone has any info on this problem. It's real frustrating to have to uninstall and reinstall multiple every time this happens.

    There has been a thread on this. Whenever this happens, it's most likely that the app is synchronizing your Twitter contacts with your People Hub - just wait and let if finish, otherwise it'll have to keep attempting to synchronize your contacts.

    I tried to search for a thread on this but didn't find anything. Anyway you can link me? I'd like to read more about it. If I go to email and accounts, Twitter is not an option anymore.

    Twitter is still dimmed and won't launch, doubt it should take this long. Tried searching for more threads but was unsuccessful.

    Been over 24 hours and it's still dimmed and won't launch. I'm guessing nobody has an answer? Only solution is to uninstall and reinstall?

    I decided not to uninstall and wait it out, checked this morning and Twitter is able to launch! So I had to wait about 4 days.

    Still would like to know the cause and solution for this particular problem. I'm sure it will happen again soon.

    There is a problem with Twitter app itself. Happened to me few times. I'm not able to create a phone backup, because it stops on 16% and Twitter remains greyed out.

    As you surely know, tile is greyed out when the app is undergoing back-up process.

    I suggest you to turn off auto back-up for apps+settings.
