In keeping with my insanity I thought I would finally share something that will make many of your cringe. Plasti-dip Time!

We start with an ugly cover, masking tape and some sandpaper.

We then tape up the holes and cover the camera lens.

Now we rough up the surface and smooth out any bad patches.

Time to head outside! Remember to use newspaper, I wouldn't want your wife to kill you in your sleep.

Plasti-Dip goes on much like spray paint. six to ten inch distance. Thin coats with a thirty minute dry time between coats. Don't forget the front of the phone.

I did five thin coats here, and I will stencil something later, but there we are. Nice rubber coating that makes the old warrior handsome again and slip resistant. Best of all when I get bored of the color I can peel it off and go with another! (yes I see the bit at the bottom where the dip stuck to the paper, not going to sweat it.)

I'm surprised that this thread didn't garner that much attention.

Would love to see some spray painted 950XL's

Especially since the back is so easily removable on those

Gotta find some blank 950 and 950xl's to do this. Otherwise you gotta mask the logo and name. If they were cheap enough I'd buy a couple and use adhesion promoter then base with a semi gloss or whatever and clear coat it.
