Hello, This is my first post ever.

I want to tell you guys about my recent experience I got when my one year old Nokia lumia 1520 was sent to an authorized microsoft repair center. Today I got the phone back, this was the second time my phone was sent for repair because of the black dots appearing on my beautiful 6-inch screen. Last time the phone was sent to Helsinki (Yes I live in Finland) and I got a new phone back for free. This time the phone was sent to Helsinki and then to Hungary.

I restored the phone and then opened Internet explorer to google something and there were all these websites popping up, I checked the browsing history..... these authorized repair shop hungarians had used my phone to watch porn,Facebook and listen to taylor swift. After this surprise I notised that the lock button dosent even work properly.

Have anyone else had this problem before? I doubt it...

Kind regards from an unhappy 1520 owner....

Umm.. The internet history would be stored against your Microsoft Account, and locally on the phone. So when you restored your account on the phone, you would have wiped any history (I'm sure you didn't give your Microsoft Account details to the repair facility or leave it in an unlocked state...). When you had your phone back, you should have gone through the set-up process all over again.

If your phone was unlocked, then you've probably also released your email, contacts, etc.....

The store i bought it from didn't ask me to lock or wipe the phone clean from personal information. The thing I don't understand is why they didn't reset the phone in Helsinki. The tough of an Hungarian man watching porn on my phone is indeed a little bit disturbing.

The store that sent it away didn't ask me to erase any data, they told me that the repair center would do it.

Sounds like they were running a thorough test to make sure Internet Explorer was working with no issues. :)

If you make up a story, you really need to get your facts straight.
