After having this one of these phablets could u ever go down? Im not sure if I can.... I've tried.

I am a proud 1520 owner but I've tried to go down to another phone at times due to double tap issues, bugs, size, or just wanting to try something new. I've tried the 1020, 930, and most recently the 640 ( the last time mainly because my 1520 was dropping calls...but switching from TMO to ATT seems to have fixed that). Every time though I keep coming back to the awesome screen, camera, battery life, and over all quality of the 1520.

Am I alone in this? Could u ever go lower then the 950xl 5.7 inch? I'm not sure if I can anyone. I've been spoiled!☺

Like everything about my 1520 better than my 950XL except the camera. The screen on the 950 is as "smaller" as I would go.

My backup phone is a 5" screen BLU Win HD LTE. I've used it twice this year. Once to test it out and write a review, once to see what Band 1 was like with it. My total time in was maybe 6 weeks use.

5" isn't bad. I think ppi goes into that somewhat. The BLU has an HD 720x1280 screen with 294ppi. It is a small enough adjustment for me to swap between the BLU and my 1520.3 that I really don't waste too much thought on it.

In contrast, we set up my wife's parents with Lumia 635s on Cricket this year. I did all the set up on their phones, taught them about the Lumias and have helped trouble shoot with both of them over time. So I've spent some time on those screens which are 480x854 FWVGA with only 221ppi on a 4.5" screen. Those phones don't look all that good to me now. I am a bit spoiled.

I think pixel density may make more difference to me than screen diagonal measurement. The 635 displays just look a bit cheap to me. Note that all these screens (including my 1520) are IPS LCD and tuned by myself to how I like to view color/brightness/etc. The size might be a bit cramped, but I feel I could probably adjust to 4.5" with a small effort of will.

So I'm going to qualify my answer. I'm comfortable going as small as a 5" screen and might be able to use even smaller, but I can't tolerate much below 300ppi.

I thought it would be a hard transition since owning a 1520 going to a 950, but it's not and the camera is the best I've seen on a windows phone

1520 to 950 here and LOVING it. I was so tired of struggling to get the 1520 in my pocket and worrying about it flexing. So much nicer to have a "normal" size phone. The speed of the device and the camera are exceptional. I have no idea what people are complaining about with the design... it's really slick. People won't be happy until we get some over engineered metal slab with no SDCard or way to replace the battery.

I played with a 950 XL the other day in a store. What I would want from that one in my 1520 is mainly the camera. It's awesome. Otherwise it gave me no real reason for an upgrade. It was more like "hello sexy I've missed you" when I picked up my 1520 from my pocket when I got a notification while playing with the 950 XL. Love the design of the old Lumia phones.

I have an iPhone 6S+ too that has 5,5" screen and that is probably the lowest I would go down to. It acually feels kind of small when I'm used to my 1520.

Happy to see that my 1520 is not the only one that talks to me when check for a notification :)

I got the 1520 launch day 2013 and got rid of it June 2015.

Going to my 640 xl, was a change. I adjusted to 5.7 inches.

Tried Tmobile and the Lumia 640....it was small as heck but manageable.

I probably can be fine with 5 inches but nothing less. Holding my moms Lumia 635 makes me cringe.

I don't like my thumbs touching when I am trying to text. I need space. 5 inches is the lowest. But six inches is best. Who knew...size matters lol.

My L1520 busted last month. Went to a L640, of which I'm very impressed with. Getting the L950XL in this second wave of shipments from MS though. Having a big phone is just something I like. Reading, gaming, lots of tiles, more on-screen content... It just feels good.

After having a 1520, I made it a priority to not do that again.

I understand it's fine for some, but it was simply too large for me.

I switched from my 1520 to a 950. There are times I really miss the size of the screen, but when the 950 disappears into my pocket, that is pretty nice. :)

(I still have my 1520, though, if I want to switch back at any point)

I may be buying the 1520 or icon. So I'll be either going back up or down to 5 :p

Yeah...I've recently thought about buying a 930 (Black Gold if I could fine one). That phone has the great camera of the 1520 and an awesome screen. I just don't like the way it holds in the hand. I've settled for staying with my L1520 for now though.

Nope, never using a small phone again. I got my 950XL a couple of weeks ago, when 10586.29 came out I powered up my 1020 to update it and was shocked at how tiny everything seems. I couldn't go back to that.

I tried the big factor with the Lumia 640xl but didn't like it at the end as I love to use just one hand so went for the Lumia 950.. It feels nicer in the pocket as well..

The only way I could go down is to a screen like the 930 or 950. In fact...i just picked up a special edition 930 ☺
