Have you still got your 1520?

I've only had mine for close to 7 months. I still love it, and I like the design far more than the 950 series, so I'm sticking with my 1520. No touch issues, but I've noticed that the lower right side of the glass / display is lifting from the body. I guess that the adhesive is failing.

I upgraded to the 950 and I believe its a great "Highend" device . The 1520 is in a class of its own . I would still have it , but the battery went bad and instead of paying to fix it I went to At&t and used my Next Plan.. ( I was, and I am so pissed at Microsoft and AT&T for not offering the bigger 950 XL ) This was such a bad move to me and has made me for the 1st time have a negative view of both companies.

If another phone / OS comes along with features I like ,,,Good bye to a 13 year relationship:

  • Dell( with the detachable mini Keyboard )-
  • Tilt 1 & 2,
  • Focus,
  • Titan
  • etc

Like I stated above, I was surprised how much I love this phone ( 950) but I still would have preferred the 950XL .

Debated getting rid of mines in favor of a fancy 950. Decided I couldn't do it though, the 1520 still does so much right. Great screen, nice battery life, runs well, and the camera is still pretty good. No reason to drop another 600 - 700 for something I don't need.

Even though I mainly use my iPhone 6S Plus I would regret getting rid of my 1520. I'll probably keep it forever and ever. It's just so god damn beautiful. I switch between them at times. I actually like my 1520 more than a 950 XL that I have tried in a store.

I have had one since late 2014 as my daily driver. Seeing how well 10 runs on it, the lack luster physical appearance of 950 and that ATT is not carrying 950xl I opted to buy a 2nd 1520 just for back up a few weeks back. If the next flagship Windows phone is not a true replacement for the 1520 screen wise, and if app gap doesn't improve I may have to peace out in 2017. I like my 6" screen. I'm giving it one more year.

Still have mine. Bought Jan 2014. Replaced battery last month as a full charge will only give me 5 hours. I'm now back to having it turned on to more than a day. Happy again.

I'm still running Windows Phone 8.1. The Nokia Lumia 1520 is among the greatest phones of all time as far as I'm concerned. I love this phone!!!!

Just bought my 3rd one from ebay (first ever 3rd time buy for me), totally overpriced but worth it, still stands out among all WP devices, even the new ones (which I actually returned on Saturday). Long Live The Unicorn Lumia 1520.3! :)

I had thought about getting one do to the fact Verizon wasn't getting any higher end windows phones. Thus having to switch to att, but wasn't sure the 950xl was gonna be there too besides the 950. Why it wasn't is beyond me and I know the 1520 is a superb phone but it wad the size. The phones usually go in my pants pocket anyway and I don't wear tight jeans bit still. Hindsight I think I would've went with the 1520 instead of the 950.

I actually JUST got my first 1520 two days ago. Used from some guy on CL. I know, I know...risky buying a phone off of CL but even riskier if it's a years old phone. Luckily for me it's working out like a champ and the latest Preview Release is working flawless (after subsequent hard reset.) I traded him a practically brand new Moto X Pure Edition. I think I honestly got a bit of a raw deal but this phone is in immaculate condition and I'd been eyeing it for a LONG time after sitting on a Lumia 640 and L1020 for a year and a half.

My very first Windows Phone was the Samsung Focus Flash and it's been my favorite OS ever since. Just something so inherently elegant about it. My adoration for it only strengthened when I grew up and bought an Xbox, leaving my PS roots in the past. That being said, I still believe the Lumia 1520 is STILL one of the best Windows Phone money can buy, probably THE best WP Nokia ever created, blow for blow. And it will likely always hold the crown for the last truly great Lumia device, by which all other Lumias are measured.

I splurged on a 950XL, while I liked having a new Windows Phone, I find the screen and most of the features very underwhelming compared to my 1520. For one, I find the full HD screen on the 1520 to be sooooo much better.
