Hi! I have recently purchased a 1520 from another forumgoer, and am coming from two phones, an iPhone 5 and a BlackBerry Passport. is there anything that you feel i should know, coming to Windows Mobile?

I would recommend upgrading the phone to Windows 10 if it hasn't been... just because it is newer and has more features.
You will need to download an app from Microsoft called 'Upgrade Advisor' to get the update.

Welcome to the 1520 club. Let me tell you this out of experience of using a 950XL, 950, 830, and the 1520. This is the best W10M device one can buy for the feature and price (less than $200)

Alright, Thanks! i'm not sure if it's WM10, as it's still in the mail. But will do that ASAP

Considering the only WM device i can purchase on a subsidy from my carrier is the 830(at $500+), When the opportunity to get the 1520 for $100USD popped up, i had to jump on it.

keep the 1520.. its by far the best ive used and still hunting for a good one (india)
I currently use the L930 as my work phone and the galaxy s7E as my personal number . had the 1520 but had to let it go due to the infamous "camera shake/camera jitter" issue.
miss the L1520 for its insane battery life and gorgeous display!

So my 1520 arrived, just before Canada Post went on strike. It is running the latest windows 10 version available. So far I'm in love with it. The battery is on par with what I got from my blackberry passport, so I'm not struggling there. Not to mention there are actually more apps available. The size was easier to get used to than anticipated because of the width I was used to. It still fits in my pocket.

I also ordered one from a buyer, arrives tomorrow. I have an iPhone 6 and One Plus 2, but still love Windows Phone. Will swap out my sim for some time to try it out. Looking forward to the larger screen and great camera.
