This option exists, and it seems sort of odd, but I like the idea of it. I'm on tmobile, which has -good enough service, but when I get out into the boonies, I have less then stellar service. this isn't enough to make want to pay the premium for other services, but I was wondering about getting an Verizon 2520 tablet, and using the internet sharing option on it.

has anyone used this with good or bad experiences?
super bonus points- can you say whether a tmobile phone that uses wifi calling can connect to the hotspot, and then use it to make calls?

I am now using the tethering or internet sharing on my 2520- it works great. I cant speak for your coverage but I have ATT LTE service on mine and speeds are about 14-20 Mbits/sec DL. My rate plan allows for data sharing with my tablet. So far so good.... I havent tried Nokia 2520 hotspot to connect other devices for wifi calling.

Tethering is free for ATT data share plans. I have tethered my Lumia 920 to my 2520, using my 920 as the hot spot so that I have internet access on my 2520. This way I do not have to pay the extra $10 a month to add my tablet to the plan. I do not have a data plan on my 2520 to test it the there way around. I do not think you would be able to make calls on a cell phone using the 2520 as a hot spot, though. Voice and data are not the same.
