Photographs stored on SD Card

I have taken photographs with the Nokia 520 and they are stored on the SD Card and are viewable on the phone, when I try to up load them to Skydrive they do not load, when copied to PC, all programmes say they are in an unsupported file format and cannot be read.

I cannot convert them as they seem to be unreadable in any programme other than viewing on the phone itself.

Any ideas how I can recover the pictures and what I need to do in the future when using the phone

Have you tried uploading the pictures to SkyDrive while using WiFi? If you want to upload them at full resolution, it requires WiFi, not mobile network. What

Could you try saving your photos to Phone Storage and try copying to PC from there?
If it works, there's a chance something's wrong with your microSD card.
