I would like to ask you to do something on your lumias 520 with gdr2 Amber installed. I need you to call ##3282 or ##3282# to test TEST FIELD.

I heard from someone it is working for someone not... Without that command i only have 2G available no matter what i force in settings.

I would appreciete if you answer me.

I have no idea. But if NSU works in XP and L520 gets dtected, it should work. There's nothing wrong in giving it a shot

No idea. Maybe or maybe not. We cant know for sure until Nokia engineer checks and tells :/ Did you tweet @NokiaHelps? They are online right now and replying fast. I think you should tweet them.

I can confirm that In my phones update (Lumia 520 - Rm-914 India - the one in the torrent) this is not working.

Thank you very much. You do know that on android when you set it on 3G it is always on 3G no matter what. Here in WP8 in center of my city it is always changing from 3G to 2G.

Have you noticed any modem and signal improvement regarding data cellular? Is 3G signal stronger or?

Yes I dont think theres option for keeping it on 3G forever, so you will have to deal with that :/

And yes, signal is better than previous. One extra bar where I used to get 3 bars before which makes it 4.

This is the main reason im waiting for OTA. Almost all countries have 520 amber available or coming soon. There must be something wrong with our Indian model's rom.

I prefer waiting no matter how irritating that is.

If that is going to happen, the current users on amber will also receive the update, as Nokia has to change the build number. Ultimately we all will also get the same update Only if it is actually going to happen.

I have updated my phone 2 weeks ago to version 3046.0000.1329.10263 through NSU. Now I see the version 3046.0000.1329.2003 on NSU. Does anyone know what's the difference between the 2 versions? The phone is RM-914_apac_hong_kong_231 but I am from Romania. Thank you

I can confirm it.. On GDR2... Regarding ##3282 TEST FIELD > Settings!! Its working for me... I am able to keep it on 3G forever.. SP is Tata Docomo, Gujarat circle!! And I am thankful to the person raising this doubt!! I was in search of this workaround!!

I can confirm, for me on GDR2(No Amber yet) its working... I am able to keep it on 3G network forever... From ##3282 TEST FIELD > Settings... And thank you very much dude! Coz I was already in search of this kinda workaround!!
