Broken Simtray in Lumia 520

Greetings everyone,

I received my brand new, sealed Lumia 520 yesterday and was eager to experience the change from iOS, but:

I inserted my micro SIM (nothing fancy) and it didnt got in. I definitly did it right, still it got stuck somewhere. After I got it back out, one of the little Pins inside the Tray accompanied my Sim and landed on my desk. Great way to start :shocked:

I will of course contact Nokias warranty Support, but I also wanted to check with the community on what to expect.

Its hardly my fault, but I have never dealt with Nokia Support before (only the exceeeeellent Apple Support) and wonder what my chances are. And besides that: has anyone another tip?

Device is working fine of course but without calling/texting pretty useless.

Just go to Nokia Service Centre! They'll repair it or replace it with a new one

I called them and they said, since its a mechanic damage its not covered by warranty. There ist no NSCentral near me, so I cant let anyone check it before sending it in...

... will try it with an available licensed repair facility but I strongly expect that I will end up paying for the repair.
