Haha I actually laughed at the title. Heating up is common but if its too much better leave it for awhile.

Yes games does make your phone hot since it uses processor and gpu which are located at the back side of your phone. While playing heavy intensive games,all the work load is on your phone processor ,resulting in heat.

It is advised to not heat up your phone.

Seriously though, if you put your phone through intensive use, it will heat up. It is to be expected.
