Is it possible to swap my current battery for a bigger size capacity wise but can fit in my L520. Would swapping have any negative effects on the phone?

Zerolemon has a battery that will fit our 520s.i also have a 521 that I am in the process of unlocking and have considered a larger battery for that also.I just saw these this weekend as I purchased my 520 on Saturday and was looking to buy a regular sized spare or just go for the biggest battery available. The negative point to the zerolemon is carrying a much bulkier device.

You should be able swap it out without any issues.

That's part of the point of a swappable battery. Back in the day you would see large extended batteries that were physically larger (and with a back cover to match)

My only concern would be el cheapo batteries of dubious quality and legitimacy.

Higher mAh ratings won't hurt the device, its different voltages and batteries not meant for the device in question.

No you wont find anyother model which uses BL-5J battery with bigger capacity.
You need to buy some other company battery.
I found this one on the internet
Still i will first see review of it then only swap my battery.

You can certainly pick up a spare battery (1300 mAh is the stock capacity) for the 620 online, but as for extended ones I don't know.

1300 mAh is just waste. Maximum it can last for 5-6 hours. There was mugen 1400 mAh battery but they said they can't deliver to India

If you are not able to find an extended battery then purchase a powerbank it will cost you less and will be from original nokia.
Try nokia DC-16 or nokia DC-19
