Is 8.1 available for lumia 520?

I haven't been around the tech news much for a while now.

So is 8.1 available? If not, will it ever be available? , if so, when?

What improvements and new features come with it? Please post a link if possible.

And the real question, (assuming that you managed to get it)

Have you noticed any bugs?

It might be an idea for you to revisit the front page of WPCentral and read a few of the stories there.

You'll get the answers to those questions in about the same time it would take to drink a cup of coffee.

All features are listed here on WPCentral, the update isn't officially released yet for the Lumia 520 (only for 925 and 625 so far, and new devices which already have it installed like the 930), so of you want it you'll have to download the developer preview.

It works quite well for me at least, however I hate the changes to Games and Music+ Video. Haven't really experienced any bugs yet.

Install Preview for Developer and thats it....I did so and I am on WP 8.1

Thanks but when will the official release come? Under testing doesn't help much. Although I believe some time early August this year?

sometime this summer, please, it has been stated so many times, if you could just read a thread or two, even if its not on the 520. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to this rollout like the last one where it was high end first. Now, we don't know.

Lumia 520 owner from India.....does it needed to downgrade the OS from WP8.1 to 8.0 to receive official 8.1 update plus the Lumia cyan. Presently I m on preview developer of WP8.1. In some article I had read that it is needed to downgrade the OS bcoz developer r still working on preview developer user. If u r on preview developer u will nt receive official 8.1 update plus cyan update........is it true.

at this point no one is sure who needs to downgrade and who doesn't ... So better you wait for cyan to roll out for 520 in India... Btw me too 520 8.1 DP from india ...

I cheated, i flashed the France orange rom....still wp8 black, till i checked for a phoneupdate. Yep bingo my little lumie is updating to 8.1 Cyan.

Got 8.1/cyan for my backup 520 from AT&T today July 31st. My wife got it on her 925 also. Only waiting for my 820 now. Really surprised how well the 520handles the upgrade. Running apps from the SD card is no problem.
