so you wanna say 920,925,820 and 1020 won't get 10?
you are completely wrong.
These models will surely lack some features(old hardwares) but win 10 is for these too.

Answer is definitely NO! Only Lumia x3x series devices, along with Lumia 1520 and 1020 will receive the Windows 10 upgrade. And by that I mean through the Developer Preview/Insider channel. So all other Lumia x2x devices such as 520/620/720/820/920/1320 won't be upgradable to Windows 10. Not even through the Developer Preview.

I hope that helps.

The reduced features apply to the low-end x3x devices like Lumia 630/535/435 etc. Those phones will receive Windows 10 but with limited features. But x2x series devices simply will not receive the upgrade. They are stuck with WP 8.1

Is that why the 1020 was pictured on the wall to receive Windows 10?

Wait, that's not right, unless ALL Windows 8/8.1 devices will get Windows 10.

Not won't, not some, but all. ;)

No, I did mention in my original comment that Lumia 1520 and 1020 are the only x2x series devices that will receive Windows 10. That's because they came out much later than the original x2x series -- 920/820/720/620/520 etc. The original x2x devices won't receive Windows 10.

I'm not Microsoft insider, but I say this based on a few observations.

Firstly, there's the fact that Microsoft says only "modern" Lumias will receive the Windows 10 ugprade. Why didn't they simply say WP8/8.1 devices will get it? That's because the phones that came out in 2012 like Lumia 920/820/520 etc are not considered "modern".

Secondly, Microsoft originally said when releasing Lumia x2x devices that they'll receive 18 months of support. The 18 months period included WP 8.1 -- hence those updates were provided. But Windows 10 will come out 36 months after those phones were released. It's clearly outside the supported timespan.

Thirdly, their latest blog clearly says not all WP8 Lumias will be upgradable.

Fourthly, the only phonse missing in the January 21st conference are the older x2x Lumias. Other than these all other phones were seen running Windows 10.

Put these things together, and it's easy to conclude why the x2x series won't receive the upgrade. Even through the Developer Preview they won't be upgradable.

And that doesn't make sense, so you're saying that the 1020 will get the update but that 920 won't even though the only difference (besides the camera) is the extra gig of ram that not even the 530 has, and yet both will receive 10?

Then add on the fact that Microsoft themselves said all phones will get it, your blasphemy doesn't add up. Heck, even Daniel said it multiple times.

So, my question is, what's your source to dishonor Microsoft and Daniel?

No Microsoft clearly said not all Lumias will get Windows 10. Majority will. The ones that will be left out are 520/620/720/820/920/1320

That's due to carriers, sadly. We've all seen what happened to the Lumia 810; it got left behind at the Amber firmware because of T-Mobile (thankfully, you can still get the latest update with the Developer Preview program).

So that list might solely be the carrier versions. Though, you do bring a point that not all of those phones are held by their carriers anymore (Verizon phones...).

Unless you have a legitimate link where Microsoft says this, your observations mean squat.

mirosoft just mentioned all Modern Devices i.e Windows 8 and Higher ...

No, if they meant all WP8 devices they'd simply say all WP8 Lumias will receive the Windows 10 update. But they intentionally used the "modern Lumias" phrase, because some of the older WP8 Lumias won't get Windows 10.
