Lumia 520 strange battery drain

Hi all,

I've had my Nokia Lumia 520 for about 18 months now, and it's been a decent phone for me. However, I've recently noticed the strange way my battery lasts.

Sometimes, the phone will last 3+ days without a charge, with mobile data on. This is great - I'm often away from home and its nice not to worry about my charger. However, sometimes, I can use the phone for a bit, close down all applications, even turn the phone off and back on again, and the battery will drain super fast. I mean, it'll lose 10% in 5 minutes while its sitting doing nothing in my pocket.

Anyone have any idea? This has been bugging me for a long time. It's not like its only started happening after I've installed a new app, or after doing a certain thing, it's completely random.

Sometimes i have similar problem , battery is draining so fast when doing nothing. I think it is bad visual display of battery.

Yes, it happens for me too. Doing nothing battery drains. Though after using some minutes it decreases fast. Don't know what Microsoft has done.

Any ideas? I've still got the problem.

Try to set up all background apps (disable ones which not use so much) , lock screen after 30sec , turn off cellular or wifi when not using it , bluetooth too. I think that is all what you can or try to replace battery.
