why is my 520 receiving text without a sim

My old phone with no sim is getting my messages from my new phone, same message same time and date.

the messaging app syncs the contest .. change the email in one of the devices or turn off sync

If the old phone is still in your possession, it's actually a bonus as you get to keep rolling with your stuff even without a SIM.

If you passed the phone to someone, sibling, progeny, friend, parent... And you are just trying to get them the Apps you had free. Think again. They have access to way too much, including SMS and Email, plus purchasing Apps against your payment method. Then you need to have a new Microsoft Account on the device.
