Just got my Lumia from HSN. I bring it to T-Mobile to transfer my old SIM. I plug in the new SIM and get nothing. Just a black screen. No options, no settings. I am unable to do anything but turn it off, on and unlock the screen. Anyone else having this problem? Yes. The phone is on. I get the unlock screen and a battery indicator. I swear I'm not that stupid.

Whoooooop. Just got off the phone with a Nokia rep. After she kept asking if I was sure the phone was on, I learned how to do a hard reset without going into settings
Volume Down -> Plug in Charger
    An exclamation mark appears
Volume Down -> Volume Up -> Power Button -> Volume Down.
Gears pop up and all is good.

Is this your first WP? My 920 is my main fan but I got the 521 just to play with it. Talk about a fast a** phone! Esp. for the money!

I have a Samsung focus but this phone is really quick. Totally worth the money. My friends are getting jealous and seem legitimately interested.

It is amazing how many people simply want a smartphone that is fast and doesn't need to be tinkered with. If they can get that for dirt cheap, all the better!
