Another Day another Site Reviews the Awesome Budget 521

    CNET Lumia 521 Review

    The good:
Nokia's Lumia 521 packs in a better camera and more software features than you might expect for its $150 off-contract price tag.The bad: No LTE, poor screen quality, and no camera flash remind you that the 521 wasn't built to be a premium smartphone.
The bottom line: Nokia's Lumia 521 is one of the best bargain smartphones on any platform, but skip it if LTE is of paramount concern.

Not going to pick on their speed test like I did with PCMags..I am town where T-Mobile is not used much, only during the day are my speed slow to 3 to 5 mbs..

It's not a bad review but it's weird how they're comparing it to the top end phones. They basically say if you want a cheap phone, the 521 is THE one to get but for some inexplicable reason they only give it 3.5 stars out of five. For its price point it should be 4.5/5 judging by their own review.

The really do not compare to higher end phone, just mention it.

"Its biggest drawback -- besides the obvious step-down in screen and camera quality compared with the now-discontinued Lumia 810 and upcoming Lumia 925 flagship -- is that the 521 lacks LTE support. However, you won't be hobbled by 3G speeds; the 521 will still ride T-Mobile's 4G HSPA+ network."

I've seen them give low end androids, with lesser hardware running android 2.3 a higher score. They're just as bias as any other site. For that price and features it should be a five. There is no "name brand" phone currently in the market that has those specs, features.
