This may sound stupid because I haven't seen anyone sle wit the issue, but do the buttons on the 521 light up? It's really inconvenient at night or in the dark when I can't see the buttons. I know it's a budget phone, but even the lowest end phone has backlit buttons. Does anyone else have this problem?

Someone asked this very thing just the other day here, something i was curious about myself.

Apparently no, they do not light up sadly. Might be the only model that doesn't.

I read somewhere that 52x models doesnt come with backlit buttons. Its just three buttons, its not too hard to guess which one is which :)

It's indeed a bit odd why they don't light up but it hasn't bothered me. It did not take me long to master using it in the dark.

This is stupid and inconvenient. I ordered an unlock code, then I may just put this thing on craigslist and get rid of it. If the buttons don't light up, they are useless to me. What a stupid design flaw.
