    Hello,

I intend to purchase a Nokia Lumia 521 (T-Mobile prepaid) to listen to a church broadcast. This particular broadcast airs on the web via John G Lake Ministries

Is there a way to tell if this Windows 8 phone will be able to work?

Can WIndows 8 phones allow a user to browse/listen to anything that works on the Windows platform on a PC?

I've never owned a smartphone or Windows 8 phone before?

I would like to use the phone for skype, youtube and listening to broadcasts.

    Thanks all.

I am on my tablet right now and can't verify but as long as the video is a supported type it should work.

EDIT: I was not able to view the video you linked, so it appears to be a format that WP8 does not support.

The link you provided does not work on my Surface RT or Nokia Lumia 920

The site is asking for flash 9.0, which appears to be newer than the last update for android before support ended. So no go on Android either.

This is incorrect. Android uses Flash 11.
