SMS Splitting from same contacts?

Didn't see anything about this here...So I figured I'd post.

So, here's the deal with what I mean by that...

I sent person A) A picture message after having texted them off and on throughout the day. So I had a thread started with this person already. Person A texts me again today, and it starts a new thread, leaving the old one in place though.

Is there a limit to messages in a thread that I'm not aware about? Sorry for the (possibly) stupid question, first day with a windows phone since well....My motorola Q days.

Welcome to WPCentral! It shouldnt split it unless they used a different number or account(like facebook) that isnt linked to the first.
