    The app is stuck at the "connect your phone" screen. Everything else seems ok. Can anyone help?

    Do you have a password on your windows phone , if so type in the password and unlock your device

    If you're using a Windows machine 7 or 8 sounds like the USB driver may not be loading correctly for the sync utility.
    Is it showing in device manager with the phone connected?

    Yeah usually it would tell you to unlock it if it was but it didn't and I did unlock it.
    Looks like the driver is the problem. Thanks Guytronic. Windows couldn't find it so does anyone know where I can get it?

    I'd just reinstall the sync utility from MSFT.
    Sometimes just plugging into a different USB port will force Windows to look for the latest driver.

    I figured it out. I had to manually have windows update search for new updates and it found it.
