I'm thinking of buying a new phone. My sister has a Lumia 520. I'm confused between Lumia 525, 720 and 625. The things that I want are faster multitasking, able to run more apps at once and faster switching between them. Although the 625 and 720 have additional features missing in the 525 but the more RAM seems more tempting to me as far as multitasking, more available apps and future upgrades are concerned. Another thing is that the Lumia 625 has a faster processor so how much will that help in faster multitasking. Now leaving all things apart which is the better phone overall. Video calling is not used much if at all. I take occasional casual pictures like on outing with friends etc. Would like to watch videos while travelling. Good time pass games would do. Leaving games aside all other apps should work. I use my phone for Web browsing. This is one important consideration to keep in mind while answering.
The problem with Lumia 520 is the resuming screen that comes when switching between apps and most of the times apps are restarted so I guess Lumia 525 should not have such problem because it has 1 GB of RAM. Can anybody tell the performance difference between the Lumia 525 and Lumia 520.

And if 1 GB RAM is not much helping in this case should I get the Lumia 625 or Lumia 720.

Lumia 720 has better screen and better camera and more features like the glance screen and more sensors compared to the Lumia 625.
Lumia 625 has 60 Hz refresh rate so no flicker or bluriness on screen and it also has a bigger screen good for web browsing and playing games already available for 512 mb RAM phones. But it also has screen reflection problem and the display is not as good to look at as the Lumia 720 screen.

Is there noticeable performance between Lumia 625 and Lumia 720 as 625 has a faster processor.

Lumia 520 is around INR 7.5-8K, newly launched Lumia 525 is around 10K, Lumia 720 and 625 are both around 14K.

I'm really really confused as you can see from the post.

I had lumia 800, than i than u took lumia 625.
Lumia 625 lacks glance. I sometime miss it but i am dam happy with screen and performance. Although, 1gb ram gets frustration but i have all series of Sony PlayStation and Nintendo so i don't care about huge games.

Lumia 720 is better than lumia 625. Only processor is 0.2 higher in lumia 625. Lumia 720 has glance too.

Lumia 625 gave me awesome screen which is far good for work, movies and games. Don't think those free packages with lumia 625 is just useless, i watched 76 movies from movies now and even bigflix gives free movies subscription.

It's easy actually.

If you are ok with your sister's phone overall, except for the "loading screen", get the 525. It should switch between apps faster. It should be somewhat faster with browsing too. Just saying, it has better physical buttons and a slightly better screen too.

If you want screen estate, yeah, the 720/625 are the way to go. The thing is many apps don't have Fast Resume in yet and that helps resuming speed tremendously. When an app has this feature enabled, it's pretty instant in 512 MB devices too. Also, don't except any massive increases in speeds from the 625 with only the 0.2 GHz increase in CPU power.

I haven't seen battery life mentioned, the 720 is the best of the bunch.

I'd say the main difference between the 520 and 525 is being able to run those heavy games like those FPSes and Temple Run 2.

Better to go for 525. Its future proof and you will have full access to all the games available today.

I had the Lumia 625 before and it's a really decent budget LTE phone. Its qHD screen may be a turn-off when you compare it to better Lumias, but it is sufficient enough for watching videos (I watch a lot of gadget reviews and live band performances). But small text on websites are hardly readable. Its battery life is also another big plus. It can last for two days on moderate usage.
