    Hi everyone,

Today I transferred a video file via bluetooth to my Lumia 525.It showed the transfer complete notification , but when i clicked on it nothing happened. After that i couldn't find the file on my phone's memory. Its not visible on my SD card too. Later when i tried to copy the same file via USB mode it shows the message "Your device might not be able to play or view this file". How can i be sure that file has not been copied on my Phone memory? and if it has been copied how to delete it?

    Regards

first, what format is the video file? second, where are you looking for the file, typically a transferred video file will be in the album "saved pictures" even though it is a video file

also note, after transferring a file via bluetooth touching the transfer complete notice doesn't actually launch the file, you do need to goto the hub to launch the file, at least that has been my experience

Thanks for your reply. The file format was .mp4. It was a dvd video converted to .mp4 format to be able to view in phone. I have looked for the video under videos heading in Music and videos tile. I have also looked for it in the saved pictures folder as you suggested. Even the phones video folder doesn't show it.
Now i checked my phone memory and it shows 5.38 GB used and 1.85 GB Free. Since the file being transferred was a 293 MB file, and there is no such file visible in the phone storage, i believe the file must not have been transferred to my phone. But that still makes me wonder why the hell did the file transfer then take such a long time?

here in lies your problem, even though the movie was converted to an mp4 file you cannot play it on a WP if it was converted from a DVD due to DRM issues, ( this is assuming the DVD in question was a store bought movie, not a personal video made or stored on a DVD ) this is also the reason why you could not transfer it via a USB connection from your computer, WP currently will not allow a transfer of DRM protected movies EVEN if you bought a movie with a digital copy, when trying to transfer the file via bluetooth, the process went forward as it should but when it tried to finalize and save the file it was rejected due to the DRM issue. at least that has been my experience, that is why when i buy a DVD/bluray movie now i always try and make sure it has a ultraviolet copy so i can watch it on my phone or xbox
