Amazon Kindle Crashing

Since yesterday Amazon Kindle App has been crashing on my Lumia 525. Whenever i tap the Kindle App icon to open it, it shows the first screen and then come back to the main windows screen. This has started after i downloaded a few free books on Kindle App. Can anyone suggest how i can make it work.

It happens on other apps as well. Try uninstalling and then reinstalling the app, which hopefully should clear the issue.

will i have to download the books again after reinstalling the app?

Maybe, but from experience, they're not very big. If you have Amazon Cloud, you'll only need to download books you want to read, the rest will be there when you want them to be.
