I heard the Capslock button sucks a little bit of battery. Also is the Battery Saver on at 20% or do you keep it on all the time? SO is there always the heart on your battery icon?

Well - turn the Battery saver constantly on if you want longer standby times. Or check the common battery saving tips that are around like turning off wifi search

I would recommend turning off double tap to wake. It may seriously suck your battery.

Because you have just bought it you might be playing with it alot and that might be the reason for the battery not lasting much but with time you will see longer lasting times. I own a Lumia 525 and that's my experience. My phone lasts around 12 to 13 hours with music playing for 2-3 hours, some web browsing, most of the other time using chat apps and on standby.

i bought my Lumia 525 two days ago. I feel the battery life is not enough. Data off, Wifi Off , no background apps running , No apps running JUST text only. I still didn't start getting calls. I was a i phone 4 user and it took me through the day atlases till 7 pm from morning. Pls advice.

First, give it a few days, battery life tends to be less the first few days after a new software update or its purchase.

Check the usual battery saving spiel, got email accounts? How often are they checking?
    etc.

Bro I too had this issue.. Get a reset( soft or hard), and put your phone on charge for 3-4 hours.. Minimise brightness from high to medium, and uncheck 'wake up phone on double tap'.. You will surely get your battery life back..

After i purchase new lumia 525, I charge 8 hours first before starting my phone to get a better battery performance. Then, it goes drain for about 14 - 15 hours, music playing for 3 - 4 hours.

What the hell? How you people get 7-8hrs battery with internet on? My Lumia 525 only lasts for 4hrs with keeping the data on! 😞
How is that possible to u?
I use double tap to wakeup. Automatic brightness. Battery saver on when the level of battery gets low.

Of course your 525 lasts only 5 hours if you browse the net for 5 hours straight on 3G. Most phones don't do better than 8-9 hours of screen time.

It's normal. If you randomly browse the web. Then the battery will last much longer.

It doesn't seem to be like that, my phone drains battery like a hungry shark. Even leaving the phone idle too drains the battery from its guts! No major improvement with 'location' service turning off. Had lot of expectations from nokia. Gets charged in just 1hr 20mins & gets drained in 4 hrs. Its not a major problem when we have a power source BUT it becomes a monster problem on journey OR something else where can't find any power source across. Greedy battery😆
