How to make a number default

If a contact number have multiple contact numbers say one personal and one official, then how i can register or save his or her personal number as a default number, so that message can be directly send to the number fixed as default number.
I use the same option (default number) in samsung android phone earlier.

Kindly advise how to use this option in windows lumia 525

The number has to be saved as a mobile device. Secondly this functionality does not exist in Windows Phone currently.

In addition to pankaj981's remark, once you begin sending SMS to a certain number, you should be able to send a new message to that same number via the threading feature in the Windows Phone messaging "app" - no need to re-enter the number each time. There, you won't need to switch to a different number unless you want to (from the three dots "..." in the thread/Messaging app.
