Why did my Lumia 525's capactive touch buttons stop working?

My lumia 525's capacitive touch buttons stop working.

My lumia 525's capacitive touch buttons stop working. Believe me I have done resetting, flashing several times, it didn't help. But sometimes the keys responds. 'Sometime' means after not using my phone a while, but suddenly it stops. What should i do ?. Is there anyway to enable onscreen buttons ?

Try a soft reset (hold vol down + power 15 secs)

OP has already done the whole nine yards in troubleshooting.

I would start looking into hardware repair, like maybe look for a new display assembly or a used 520/525 to donate parts. (beware, the 521 is physically taller than the 520/525 I believe, so avoid.)
