messed up photo screen

I've bought a 620 a couple of weeks ago, and recently began having issues with the photo application (it's a russian windows 8; the "photographies" tile on main screen next to "music+video" and "games"). When I press it, it opens normally at first (presenting options "photodisk", "albums", "data", "people"), but a moment later the screen becomes messed up with its contents repeating all over the place. Scrolling it left and right messes it even more. I attached the screenshots.

Rebooting the phone does not help. I have a bunch of photo retouching apps installed (Fantasia painter, lomogram, photofunia); and a class 10 16gb SD card, if it matters. How do I fix it? Thank you.

That is the first time I have ever seen that! I would do a factory reset and start from scratch. If that doesn't fix the problem, exchange it (if you can) or call up Nokia.

Oh, I managed to solve the issue just now. Apparently something was screwed up with the background; once I selected another image as background, these artifacts disappeared.

That is very weird and doesn't make any sense...hopefully this will help someone else out in the future.
