I heard that the 630 doesn't have a front facing camera but is it worth buying anyway?

It depends on whether you want to pay ~$180 for this phone, when you can get the 720 with a better camera and screen for less.

The processors may as well be ignored if you consider the fact that both phones have 512MB of RAM.

If its your first phone, or if you just want to get an impression of Windows phone, then definitely get it. You wont feel its limitations. But if you want a complete experience, then no. Best wait for the 730.

If you want a cheap phone, and can get it for a low price then yes. But the 720 and 820 can be had for around the same price second hand, and both are significantly better than the 630.

If budget isn't a problem for you and you can save up to $250 then better wait for 730. It has a 5MP front facing camera. Flash with rear camera. And 1GB RAM. Plus, with these specs, this phone is more future proof. Meaning not only it will come preinstalled with the latest windows phone OS but you could also expect it to get the next major updates for windows phone for year or two to come.

Or think about an used 920. Could be found around 150 and can easily be used for the next months. Thanks to 1 GB it's even more future proved than a 630/530.

I plan to carry mine for at least another 6 months.

I dropped my 1320 and got a 630 only as a 'temporary' solution till I found the time to repair the screen on my 1320, but damn it's a nice phone. I never used a front facing camera before and RARELY had to use a flash, so the lack of these features didn't bother me too much. Only that would have made it perfect is 1Gb but it's snappy as hell with only 512mb. Might not even go back to the 1320 way I'm going :/

I already have a 920. Just want to upgrade my device. I'm on a budget.

How long have you been using the 1320 before you got a 630?

If you have a 920, an 630 is a downgrade. 730 might be equal, first upgrade will be the 830.

If you are on a budget, the cheapest phone is the one you don't have to buy.

About a month :(. I underestimated how heavy the phone actually is when I took it out of my pocket then bam it hit the concrete face down. Still works because it's a Nokia lol but the screen is majorly cracked.

What does this even mean? Look at the spec sheets. There is no way the 630 can be seen as an upgrade coming from a 920.

Only possible advantage is the more modern processor. But we're talking about a Snapdragon 400.

EDIT: I just noticed that you have a 920. In that case, what I wrote before is invalid. Most likely, you should keep the 920 and upgrade later to a 940 or something like that when it comes out. But here is a list of pros and cons:

    630 pros:
    - removable battery
    - more battery life (around 2 days vs. around 1 day in the 920 in my experience, but check WPcentral reviews for more accurate numbers)
    - microSD card slot
    - lighter weight

    920 pros:
    - higher screen resolution (I can barely see a difference between my screen and my friend's 920, but YMMV, compare at a store if you can)
    - better rear camera, has flash
    - has a front face camera for selfies and Skype
    - bottom-facing speakers, IMO much better than rear-facing
    - more flash storage (32 GB vs 8 GB)

    I would not buy a 630 if I had a 920, for sure.

Ah I see. Well, to be honest, you will not miss that much. Compared to my friend's 920 I actually prefer the 630/635 because you get an SD card, on which you can store all your photos, songs etc. When you get another phone, you switch the SD card into the new phone and voila, everything is on your new phone.

I don't know how the rules are in the US, but in Europe they are obliged to unlock it for free (actually there is a small fee like 10€) after your contract expires, so I would keep hold of that 920 until you can unlock it cheap or sell it to someone who can unlock it in Europe.
