Just wanted to let people know that if you want to have your Lumia 710 unlocked from T-Mobile and you choose, prepare to wait. I didn't realize until after I paid that they have a list of how long different phones will take to get unlock code. This phone is the longest on the list at 5-10 days wait. I am at 6 days wait with no code. I am just hoping it actually comes at some point. I'll keep everyone updated.

I received the code to unlock my phone. Haven't tried it yet because I want to go through the money on my T-mobile account before I switch. Still have $11! I will post a copy of the email I got later so you can see how badly written it is. This company would be well served to have a person who speaks English naturally rewrite their email. Maybe I can offer my services for a fee...

Update: Unlock code worked and I am successfully using Straight Talk. Internet works. If you decide to use and you get the email with the code, make sure you scroll down far enough. It gives directions for other Nokia phones before they give you directions for Lumia phones.

Does anyone know if you carrier unlock your phone, does your update depend on the company it was once locked to, or not any more? Because I wanna buy a phone and the carrier is very ****, but I will be unlocking so... I wonder.
