720 or a different Lumia?

Ok guys, I need your advice:

Here in Amsterdam prices for the 720, 820 and 920 have moved to more or less the same point:

720 = Eur 280
820 = Eur 260
920 = Eur 320

I am heavily invested in iOS territory, iPhone, Apple TV, iPad and Macbook Pro. My goal is to have a less boring phone with a good screen, that will allow me to run whatsapp, mail, facebook twitter etc easily. I like the looks of the 720 best, I also understand it has the best battery life. However, how much of a performance hit do I take versus the 820 and 920?

What would you do?

Also, they have the 720 in Cyan and the 920 in Grey..

If you do pick the 720, you'll see some apps that aren't really available for you (mostly games) and you'll notice that the apps will, more often than not, give you loading screens.
Slight performance hit, as demonstrated by my 620.

Massive hit in the battery life if you pick the 820 (remedied by a backup battery)
Slight hit in the battery life if you pick a 920.

So battery life on the 920 is only slightly worse than the 720? In that case the 920 is starting to look better...

Just get the 920 and if you don't like the battery life you by a DC16 for 15 euros of amazon, that's what I did Amsterdam

If you depend on WhatsApp and Facebook, please note that WP8 has a sub par notification system.

I need to installed 2 apps plus me tile and message tile just for Facebook alone.

I don't use WhatsApp much these days. But I use similar service, Line. And WP8 notification make me mad sometime.

I can live with those but can you?

TBH the l720 is an amazing phone for the money, but if you got more cash to spend, better go higher end.

In addition, the L720 is overpriced were you at, in Jordan its around 200JDs = $281.

go with 920.
my 3 days old 720 is with Nokia care. and there were atleast 5 more people with 720 in the queue because of software/performance issue.

Go for L920. It's a decent device you will grow to like really quickly.

Mind you that FB app has problems with notifications. Well basically you either don't get them or get them after a couple of hours.

WhatsApp runs great on my lumia after recent updates.
