okay so people could u help me out with this : i recently got my lumia 720 replaced and i need help with should i completely drain the battery at first ? and then charge it for 5 -8 hours? help me out cause this time i dont wanna screw up my device thank you

It is better not to do full discharge.

Similar to a mechanical device that wears out faster with heavy use, so also does the depth of discharge (DoD) determine the cycle count. The shorter the discharge (low DoD), the longer the battery will last. If at all possible, avoid full discharges and charge the battery more often between uses. Partial discharge on Li-ion is fine; there is no memory and the battery does not need periodic full discharge cycles to prolong life, other than to calibrate the fuel gauge on a smart battery once in a while.

Just charge normally. Don't have to discharge fully for a first time charge

thank u so much for ur help but one more thing do i still need to charge it for 8 hours for the first time ?or how much do u suggest ?

You can charge it for 8hrs but doubt it'll make a difference as after it reaches 100% charge, the phone stops charging.. Would love to be corrected if im wrong
