SD card contents(Music, Videos, Pics) aren't showing in phone...?

Hi guys,

My Lumia 720(Amber updated) SD card (8 GB) is facing a weird problem :angry: everything worked perfect until i formatted (in PC/FAT32) SD card yesterdayrly:.

The card is being detected by the device but the contents in [Music, Videos, pictures] aren't shown up :angry: :angry:

I've formatted(FAT32) SD card and copied some videos & music(110 MB) which aren't shown in Music & Videos, but the file size(110 MB) is shown in 'other' in settings->phone storage->SD card :unhappy:

I don't remember exactly how many times i've formatted SD card since yesterday (may be 30:winktongue exhausted :unhappysweat: formatting it both in PC & phone :unhappy: but same problem :unhappy::unhappy:

Either you sync using WMP or the Windows Phone sync tool, or you format it using a Symbian device.

even tried another sd card but it also didn't work... dont wanna lose all my data and apps -____-

NO exact solution to the problem from Nokia Care/here .....there's no other go than doing a Hard reset and Now everything works perfect as pre-Amber.

Finally, Amber is NO way a bug fixer but a 'BUG' itself.

Hard Reset will remove the amber update too right??

No, Microsoft and nokia update flashes your rom(read only memory), so if you hard reset your phone, it will have amber after reset.

sometimes we must remember to unamount sd card before removing it from the phone so that the card will be safely removed from being corrupted.

I did the hard reset and its been 2 hours the gears keep on moving -___-

mine also got stuck on gears last month, follow these steps:
1. remove sim card from your phone
2. restart your phone by pressing volume down key and power key at the same time
3. Nokia logo will came and if gears are still moving, then press in order these keys(one key at a time and be fast): vol up, vol down, power key, vol down
4. Your phone will start in 30-40 mins or less, gears will again rotate but for only 30 mins.

P.s.: your phone should be connected to the charger.

hard reset only takes 30-40 mins, if it is taking longer then reset process is messed up. Then, you have to reset again by pressing 4 keys as i told in above post.

Yes, settings->phone storage->SD card->remove sd card/format sd card :amaze:

It took hardly 15-20 min to reset my device...settings->about->reset your device

No mate...after reset i don't have Amber in it(No mention of 'Amber' in extras+info) but have FM +Data Sense+Flip to slience

when you reset the phone amber will be deleted.. I mean those updated system apps. you have to reinstall all system apps for the updates.

one option in settings is reset
helped me a lot
just i reset my phone
