While using apps such as 9Gag or playing Temple Run , the apps shutdown on their own and i am redirected to the main screen!
Is that because of the limited 512 Mb ram in 720 and is there any solution for it?

Yes its probably the limited ram.
But 8.1 update comes with multitasking improvements, especially for 512mb devices.

So keep calm and get ready for the update.
